Fair winds and following seas

After several wonderful years serving the boaters of Lake Ray Roberts, September 30, 2026, marks our final day at Melvin's Lakeside Services. We are closing our doors, and we wanted you to hear it from us.

When we started this company, it was more than a business. It was built in memory of the man it is named after, whose love of boats, engines, and the water inspired everything we set out to do. Every engine we repaired and every customer we got to know along the way was a tribute to him, and getting to do that work in this community has meant more to us than we can say.

To our customers: thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your boats, for the conversations on the dock, and for letting us be a small part of your time on the water. We built this on honesty, integrity, and transparency, and you are the reason it was worth doing.

To our team: thank you for your skill, your hard work, and your heart. We could not have asked for a better crew.

The marina and its service operation will continue under new ownership, so your boats will still be looked after. We are grateful we got to serve you as long as we did.
